dbacl digramic Bayesian text classifier.: dbacl is a command line program which can be used to categorize several types of text documents. Each document category is constructed as a maximum entropy language model, with respect to a reference measure based on digrams (character pairs). Before recognition can take place, a number of text corpora must be "learned". For example, an English category could be based on a text file containing the collected works of Shakespeare. The href="http://promo.net/pg/">Gutenberg project makes freely available many public domain works in electronic form. After learning, any number of text files can be compared, in terms of Bayesian posterior probabilities, with up to 128 learned categories. The actual number of categories is limited only by available memory.

The supported AAC profiles are HE, Main, LC, LTP and LD. It also supports all these profiles in their ER (Error Resilient) equivalent. This decoder can be used for DRM (Digital Radio mondiale) without any big changes. Latest addition in the 2.0 version of the FAAD2 decoder library is the ability to decode HE AAC (High Efficiency) and PS AAC (Parametric Stereo) files. Those packages has been contributed by Michel 'DMX' Bagmeijer.

ffmpeg powerful video and audio converter: FFmpeg is a powerful very fast video and audio converter. The command line interface is designed to be intuitive, in the sense that ffmpeg tries to figure out all the parameters, when possible. You have usually to give only the target bitrate you want. FFmpeg can also convert from any sample rate to any other, and resize video on the fly with a high quality polyphase filter.
file implementation of the Unix File(1) command.: This is Release 4.x of Ian Darwin's (copyright but distributable) file(1) command. File is an implementation of the Unix File(1) command. This fine freeware file(1) follows the USG (System V) model of the file command, rather than the Research (V7) version or the V7-derived 4. Berkeley one. That is, the file S:magic contains much of the ritual information that is the source of this program's power. My version knows a little more magic (including tar archives) than System V; the S:magic parsing seems to be compatible with the (poorly documented) System V S:magic format (with one exception; see the man page). In addition, the S:magic file is built from a subdirectory for easier(?) maintenance. I will act as a clearinghouse for magic numbers assigned to all sorts of data files that are in reasonable circulation. Send your magic numbers, in magic(5) format please, to the maintainer, Christos Zoulas.
flac Free Lossless Audio Codec: FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. Grossly oversimplified, FLAC is similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player just like you would an MP3 file. This package has been contributed by Michel 'DMX' Bagmeijer

Lzip 1.5 17.04.2009
Lzip is a lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, with very safe integrity checking and a user interface similar to the one of gzip or bzip2. Lzip decompresses almost as fast as gzip and compresses better than bzip2, which makes it well suited for software distribution and data archiving. Lzip will automatically use the smallest possible dictionary size for each member without exceeding the given limit. It is important to appreciate that the decompression memory requirement is affected at compression time by the choice of dictionary size limit. As a self-check for your protection, lzip stores in the member trailer the 32-bit CRC of the original data and the size of the original data, to make sure that the decompressed version of the data is identical to the original. This guards against corruption of the compressed data, and against undetected bugs in lzip (hopefully very unlikely). The chances of data corruption going undetected are microscopic, less than one chance in 4000 million for each member processed. Be aware, though, that the check occurs upon decompression, so it can only tell you that something is wrong. It can't help you recover the original uncompressed data.

NZBGet 0.5.1 12.03.2009
NZBGet is a binary newsgrabber, which downloads files from usenet based on information given in nzb-files. NZBGet can be used in standalone and in server/client modes. However,
this AmigaOS port is build with standalone support only. In standalone mode you pass a nzb-file as parameter in command-line, NZBGet downloads listed files and then exits. Features Console interface, using either a plain text, a coloured text or an interactive ncurses interface; Bandwidth throttling; Multiple servers, multiple connections; Automatic par-check and repair; Extremly low CPU footprint (except for par-check/-repair); Very low memory usage (except for par-check/-repair); Categories for organizing of downloaded files; Monitoring of incoming-folder for all nzb-files (requests); Download queue can show files or groups (nzb-requests) for downloading; Shows whole remaining size for all files in queue (from all nzb-requests); Download queue can be saved on exit and reloaded on next start; Log-file with several log-levels;
This list of features have been directly extracted from the
nzbget website, but note those non-implemented on this AmigaOS port have been removed. This port should be considered in beta state. Also, I would like to thank Philippe 'mrod' Bovier who helped testing (giving great feedbacks), since I (diegocr) didn't had the time nor an usenet (binary) account to do it myself... honestly, i didn't tested this port myself for more than 20 minutes during the porting period... Feel free to send us comments/feedback on how it works for you, further SSL support is planned. NZBGet-0.5.1.lha (905Kb)
GCC 4.3.2 CYGWIN-Hosted Cross-Compiler for m68k-amigaos 22.02.2009
Bernd has released the Compiler he uses for his works, thats GCC 4.3.2 for cygwin (which he has compiled himself) to produce m68k/OS3.x binaries. (Note that the compiler package does not contains the required include files, which are available as a separate package, since those can be used with other compilers as well)
This are the C++ includes i use and work well with C++ programs as openredalert. this contain the libstdc++ Version from GCC 4.3.2 and includes. But this can also work on GCC 3.4.0(i use with openredalert) and i think other compiler versions. To get it working with other compilers you must create a dir in include/c++ of the compiler you have and copy the content of 4.3.2 dir to it. I need this do, because the amiga 3.4.0 68k C++ includes dont work with openredalert. this need newer one. Note: use this "HACK" at your own risk, it can maybe get problems to use newer versions on older compilers. I use the older compiler to see if the gcc 4 give faster or slower code. It is known that gcc4.3.2 give not always faster exectuables, but many programs get faster as 3.4 and of course 2.95. It is always good to have both compilers installed. Also newer programs need newer compilers. GCC-4.3.2-m68k-amigaos-cygwin.lha (6061Kb) include-20090222.lha (1323Kb)
Ixemul library 50.0 19.02.2009
Bernd Roesch has made it possible... There is a new ixemul.library for AmigaOS 3.x systems, based on the MorphOS's 49.26 sources. Thanks a lot to Bernd by bringing us this new version and the MorphOS Team as well by its previous work maintaining ixemul.
Originally created in 1991/1992 by Markus Wild, the ixemul.library has become the driving force behind the Geek Gadgets project. Essentially it is a BSD Unix kernel running under the Amiga OS. The code for handling Unix signals is taken almost verbatim from the BSD kernel sources, for example. Multitasking and file I/O is, of course, passed on to the Amiga OS. Because the library resembles BSD Unix so closely, it has made it possible to port almost all Unix programs. However, because of the conformance to BSD, the library is not too conservative with resources or overly concerned with Amiga standards. For example, command line expansion uses Unix semantics and doesn't use ReadArgs(). The purpose of ixemul.library is to emulate Unix as well as is technically possible. So given a choice between Amiga behavior or Unix behavior, the last one is chosen. Read all about ixemul from this link.
If you're compiling certain program and found that it needs some function(s) missing from ixemul feel free to report it to us, or what it'll be better join us and help improving further ixemul versions!
Any feedback is greatly welcome as well.
